Moby’s Marine Pub is a Salt Spring Island tradition in its Ganges Harbour’s end location.
Approaching 20 years of good food, cold beverages and wonderful entertainment, Moby’s Pub is still keeping up the tradition. In its present form, under the proprietorship of Jim Burrows, Moby’s mission is to provide the best in quality, service and atmosphere.
Our menu provides a variety of choices ranging from a selection of salads, homemade soups, great burgers and sandwiches, to seafood entrees and a wonderful New York steak. Desserts offered include a homemade Carrot Cake and a deliciously rich Sticky Pudding from a secret local recipe.
Moby’s has a full bar to select from as well as 11 beer taps. The draught beer ranges from local Gulf Island brew to domestic choices from Vancouver Island and the rest of Canada as well as imported Stella Artois and Guinness.
Moby’s prides itself on attracting all different types of musical entertainment. In recent months there have been gigs by Vancouver rockers C.R. Avery, Pete and the Sneaks, as well as Steely Dan cover band Pretzel Logic. There have been fun evenings with Eugene Smith and speaking of the Blues, local bassist, Dave Roland hosts a Blues Jam every second Thursday evening at 8 PM. In short, Moby’s provides a number of incredible reasons for a visit, from the wonderful harbour vistas, the cold draught beer and cocktails to the wide selection of goodies on the menu. Live entertainment happens at least weekly and you can always entertain yourselves with a game of pool or darts or watch some sporting event on the big-screen TV. There is plenty of seating outside on the deck or cool off with the air-conditioning inside. Either way you are guaranteed to enjoy your experience at Moby’s.
